"Everything was exactly as I wanted, there were none of the usual surprises/hidden costs that I've come to expect out of dealers these days.

Paul even found us excellent finance rates so we could take advantage of the cash back to apply to the price of the car. We'll be buying our next car from them!" - GRKBJMMM

Representatives from Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc., (MMNA), along with the Honorable Neil Abercrombie, Governor of Hawaii, and personnel from Cutter Mitsubishi of Aiea, Hawaii, made the very first customer retail delivery of the 100% electric-powered 2012 Mitsubishi i featuring Mitsubishi innovative Electric Vehicle (MiEV) technology in a formal ceremony today at the historic Hawaii State Capitol Building in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Bryson and Bridget Nishimura of Waipahu, Hawaii.

"We purchased the 2012 Mitsubishi i primarily to save on gas – we currently spend about $70.00 a week on fuel. But it should cost us only around $3.00 for a full charge of electricity – that's going to be a great savings for us! Long-term, the Mitsubishi i should save us at least $3,000 a year," said Mr. Nishimura, retired from a career with Hawaiian Telephone.

"I think the car is so cute," Mrs. Nishimura added enthusiastically. "Plus, I like that it's roomy and it's a hatchback. It's going to be so good for the earth – we're both way on board with it. And Cutter Mitsubishi has been great to work with, too."

The 2012 Mitsubishi i recently earned the #1 ranking on the EPA's list of the "Fuel Economy Leaders: 2012 Model Year" in the governmental agency's annual Fuel Economy Guide, thanks to its high EPA-rating of 126 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent) in city driving/99 MPGe highway (112 MPGe combined).

"With the cost of gas still on the rise, these vehicles offer our consumers an option that will be cost-effective in the long run, and at the same time allows our state to reach its energy independence goals," Governor Neil Abercrombie stated. "In Hawaii, our climate and energy priorities make us best suited for these types of vehicles."

The City and County of Honolulu and Hawaii Electric are among the first fleet customers to take advantage of the reduced operating costs, high efficiency and environmental benefits provided by adding Mitsubishi's all-new electrical vehicle to their respective fleets in America's island paradise. Vehicle deliveries to the Hawaiian municipality and utility will occur later in the month of December.

In addition to Hawaii, the Mitsubishi i is currently rolling out in California, Washington, and Oregon where it is available for test drives at certified Mitsubishi i dealers, and the majority of the U.S. will get the vehicle by summer of 2012.  With a starting net value of $21,625* for the well-equipped entry-level ES model (the premium-grade SE version begins at $23,625*), the 2012 Mitsubishi i is the most affordably-priced mass-market electric vehicle available in the United States and is the first of several new advanced, alternative-fuel production vehicles that the Japanese auto manufacturer plans on bringing to the North American market in the next few years.

2012 Mitsubishi Lancer: Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) TOP SAFETY PICK for Fifth Consecutive Year

For the fifth year in a row, a vehicle in Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc.'s, (MMNA) model lineup is one of the select vehicles to be named by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) as a "Top Safety Pick."

The stylish and versatile Mitsubishi Lancer compact sport sedan (except Ralliart and Evolution) joins an elite group of 2012 model vehicles that meet the Insurance Institute's stringent criteria for vehicle crash testing.

"When we launched 'Top Safety Pick' in 2005, consumers had 11 models to pick from," says IIHS president Adrian Lund. "It's tough to win, and we commend auto manufacturers for making safety a top priority."

In order for a vehicle to be named a "Top Safety Pick" by the Insurance Institute, a car must earn a "good" rating in the organization's three critical areas of crash test analysis (the Institute's scoring system consists of ratings of "good," "acceptable," "marginal" or "poor"):

  1. High-speed front impact crash testing
  2. High-speed side impact crash testing
  3. Evaluation of seat/head restraints for protection against net injuries in rear impact crash testing

Building upon this impressive vehicle's sales success and safety award recognition, Mitsubishi Motors has expanded the Lancer lineup by introducing a new 2012 Lancer SE AWC model that includes the company's proven and capable All Wheel Control (AWC) all-wheel drive system - along with an impressive array of standard features and amenities - at a starting MSRP of only $20,195.

Thank you for the 5- Star review! It's great to hear we are exceeding your expectations.

"Some car dealerships make you cringe when you shop for a car. They pounce on you and hold on without letting go. Car buying can be very stressful. When I arrived at Carriage this is what I was bracing myself for, but I very quickly realized that this was not the usual type of dealership. They were helpful, patient, friendly. They gave us a fair price on our trade in, and helped us get financing at a really good rate. They took time to work with us. We did buy our car at Carriage Mitsubishi and would probably be back the next time we're in the market for a car." - AP_Buford

Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc., (MMNA), is proud to announce that the company's innovative and fun-to-drive 2012 Mitsubishi i electric vehicle has scored first-place honors on the EPA's list of "Fuel Economy Leaders: 2012 Model Year" in the governmental agency's annual Fuel Economy Guide thanks to its astonishing EPA-rated 112 combined/126 city/99 highway MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent).

According to the EPA's website, the Fuel Economy Guide is "an annual publication containing the fuel economy estimates for all cars and light trucks. The guide includes much more information that appears on the window sticker alone. It includes information about alternative fueled vehicles, the range of fuel economy for different classes of vehicles, a list of fuel economy leaders, and tips for improving fuel economy."

The annual Fuel Economy Guide is published jointly by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Department of Energy (DOE).

"We are very pleased to see that the Environmental Protection Agency and the Department of Energy have rated the 2012 Mitsubishi i as the top fuel economy leader in its annual Fuel Economy Guide," said Yoichi Yokozawa, President and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. (MMNA). “With 17,000 i-MiEV-based units* produced for various international markets, we look forward to providing North American consumers with an exceptionally well-engineered electric vehicle that has proven itself to be reliable, safe, efficient and very affordable in overall price and cost of operation.”
